Jay Emmet

General Manager

Jay EmmetJay serves as Senior Vice President of Amdocs and General Manager of OpenMarket. Prior to joining OpenMarket, Jay was President-Americas at mBlox where he led the successful market launch of SMS services into the US market. Jay was previously Senior VP of Operations for ATG, and prior to that was VP of Sales and Marketing at New Edge Networks.

Jay has more than 20 years of multi-functional communications experience, including leadership positions at LightNetworks, Logix and MCI. He also worked at Andersen Consulting (currently Accenture) and served 6 years as a United States Marine Officer. Jay has an MBA from American University and a BA from St. Anselm College.

John Mascavage

Vice President, Engineering and Operations

John MascavageJohn is our Vice President of Engineering and Operations. Before coming to OpenMarket, John was VP of Global Payment Services for Amazon.com, where he managed all consumer and third-party payments capabilities and the Amazon.com Visa Card program.

John’s other past positions include VP of Engineering at First Data Corporation, founder and VP of Engineering at Achex.com, and Senior Manager at Andersen Consulting (now Accenture). At Andersen John specialized in financial services and payments with Visa USA, Smith Barney, JP Morgan, Morgan Stanley, and TD Waterhouse.

John has more than 15 years of experience in engineering, financial services, network communications, and the Internet. He holds a BS in Applied Science from Miami.

Steve French

Global Vice President, Product Management and Marketing

Steve FrenchAs Global Vice President of Product Management and Marketing of OpenMarket, Steve leads our product management, product marketing, marketing communications and carrier relations efforts. Prior to joining OpenMarket, Steve was the VP of Global Marketing at NewBay Software (acquired by RIM), and spent nearly five years at Tekelec, a mobile data management vendor.

Steve has also held a variety of product management, product marketing, marketing and finance positions at several communication companies, including Hatteras Networks, Global Crossing, Tellium and Nortel Networks.

Before entering the communications industry, Steve spent eight years in the Navy after graduating from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) with a BS in Engineering. He completed his MBA degree at North Carolina State University while in the Navy.

Rachael Hannah

Director of Finance

Rachel HannahRachael currently serves as Director of Finance for OpenMarket. Prior to joining OpenMarket in 2007, Rachael held various corporate and divisional financial planning and analysis positions at Starbucks Coffee Company and Amazon.com, both high-growth, market-leading companies. She also spent five years as Executive Director of an education focused non-profit organization.

Rachael holds a BA cum laude from Smith College and an MBA from Dartmouth College.

Ronit Peled

Human Resources Director

 Ronit PeledRonit serves as a Human Resources Business Lead of Amdocs and the Human Resources Director of OpenMarket. She is responsible for implementing human resource management strategies that enable OpenMarket to recruit, train, and retain a high performing and motivated workforce.

Prior to joining the company, Ronit supported business accounts globally for Amdocs starting in Israel and then relocating to the US to assist with outsourcing arrangements and mergers and acquisitions. Before joining Amdocs, Ronit served as an HR Manager working with a wide range of clients, both individual and organizational in the field of marketing, selling and advertising, while providing strategic guidance within Human Resources and managing employee relations.

Ronit is an accomplished Human Resources professional with more than 20 years of experience developing talent and improving productivity in rapidly growing organizations. Ronit holds a BA cum laude in Social Work from Jerusalem University.

Ethan Gustav

Vice President, North American Sales and Account Management

Ethan GustavAs Vice President of North American Sales, Ethan leads our North American Sales and Account Management Teams with a principled focus to drive profitable revenue growth and exemplary customer satisfaction in both the Enterprise and Commercial market segments.

Prior to joining OpenMarket, Ethan held various sales management and senior individual contributor sales roles spanning nearly five years at Amdocs, a 20,000 employee global leader in the customer experience software and services domain. Prior to joining Amdocs, Ethan led business development and partner management functions for on-portal value-added services at T-Mobile US. Ethan also held a variety of senior sales and business development roles at Loudeye, a Seattle-based digital media software and services firm acquired by Nokia.

Before embarking on his professional journey through the high tech and mobile Industries, Ethan attended the University of Washington earning a BA in Political Science.

Paul Murphy

EMEA Commercial Director

Paul MurphyAs our EMEA Commercial Director based in London, Paul leads the sales and account management teams with a primary focus on creating and implementing both digital and traditional sales and marketing strategies within targeted sectors.

Paul joined OpenMarket with over 12 years of international strategic management experience. His previous roles have included Sales and Marketing Director Europe for EDC GmbH and Managing Director for Clear Vision. His responsibilities have involved developing senior relationships with some of the world’s largest entertainment, retail and ecommerce companies.

Through driving team leadership principles, Paul consistently delivered on planned performance outcomes as an integrated solutions partner to companies such as Universal Music, WWE, UFC, HMV and Sainsbury’s, both in the UK and internationally.

Jonathan Morgan

Vice President – Corporate Development Asia and Pacific

Jonathan MorganAs Vice President of Corporate Development, Jonathan runs OpenMarket’s Asian operations from Sydney, Australia.

Prior to joining OpenMarket in 2011, Jonathan co-founded and led Hypertag Ltd, a pioneer in the mobile marketing industry. When Hypertag was acquired by Proxama Ltd, Jonathan became the Managing Director, Marketing Services at Proxama, leading location-based marketing activities, gaining a strong understanding of the NFC mobile payment space.

Jonathan holds an MA MEng from Cambridge University and an ACCA Diploma in Accounting and Finance.
