OpenMarket Director Nick Macilveen Elected to Mobile Marketing Association 2008 North America Board of Directors
Macilveen Brings Extensive Industry Expertise to Leadership Role
OpenMarket Inc., a premier provider of mobile messaging and financial payment processing for direct-to-consumer (D2C) mobile commerce, today announced Nick Macilveen’s election to the Mobile Marketing Association (MMA) 2008 North America Board of Directors. The MMA is a global non-profit association that strives to stimulate the growth of mobile marketing and its associated technologies.
Macilveen is the director of carrier relations for OpenMarket and brings more than a decade of wireless industry and mobile channel experience to the MMA. He has extensive relationships with many MMA members, including major mobile operators, media companies and content providers globally. Macilveen is an active member of the mobile community, serving on the MMA’s Board of Directors since 2007. In addition, he is a member of the MMA’s Consumer Best Practices Committee, Industry Logo Task Force and Mobile Advertising Committee, as well as the CTIA’s Wireless Internet Caucus.
“I am honored to continue my work on the MMA Board of Directors and committee teams,” said Macilveen. “In 2008, the mobile industry finds itself at a crossroads of complex policies, business models and technology. To enable the next stage of growth, we must create an environment of ubiquity, simplicity and scalability for all market participants.”
“The MMA Board of Directors is an important leadership council that helps influence the direction of mobile marketing, including the content, advertising and commerce industries,” said Laura Marriott, president of the MMA. “Nick’s market expertise and relationships are assets to the Association and its 2008 North America Board of Directors. As the North American mobile industry continues to evolve, we look forward to the Board’s continued leadership in helping to advance the MMA’s mission.”
