Meet the OpenMarket senior leadership team.

Jonathan Morgan

CEO

Jonathan has nearly 20 years’ experience in commercial, engineering and operational leadership roles in the mobile technology industry. He joined OpenMarket in 2011 as Country Manager for Australia before growing his remit to launch OpenMarket’s Asia-Pacific business. He later worked as Vice President of Global Operations, where he was instrumental in streamlining strategies, processes and structures across the entire business.

Before joining OpenMarket, Jonathan co-founded and led Hypertag Ltd., a pioneer in the mobile marketing industry, which was acquired by Proxama in 2011.

Jonathan holds an MA MEng from Cambridge University and an ACCA Diploma in Accounting and Finance.

Eric Aarrestad

VP, Global Product

Eric has a strong track record of building and scaling software platform and services businesses. He drives OpenMarket’s product strategy and direction, drawing from broad and rich leadership experiences at Microsoft, Ivanti, WatchGuard and Absolute.

Eric’s areas of expertise include cloud and SaaS based mobile, data analytics and cybersecurity platforms and services. He holds an MBA from Southern Methodist University, and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Portland.

Anthony Bastone

Director of Finance

Anthony is in charge of OpenMarket’s financial strategy, helping the board drive long-term, profitable growth. He has 14 years’ experience in corporate finance, FP&A and financial operations – in high-growth start-ups and global enterprises such as Nordstrom and Dell EMC.

Anthony has a Masters degree in Business Administration from Seattle University, and a BA in Business Administration from the School of Business, Government and Economics at Seattle Pacific University.

Seujan Bertram

VP, Global Operations

Seujan is relentlessly focused on an exceptional customer experience for all touchpoints across OpenMarket’s global offices.

Before joining us, she held a senior leadership role at Tableau, where she built and led worldwide Technical Account Management, Programs and Operations customer care teams. Before that, she led Support, IT and Engineering functions and teams at Starbucks.

Seujan holds a BS in Education from West Chester University, an MA in Social Science from Binghamton University and an MBA from Seattle University.

Ethan Gustav

VP, Global Sales

Ethan’s focus is on driving revenue growth and exemplary customer satisfaction in both the Enterprise and Commercial market segments.

Before joining us, he held various sales management and senior individual contributor sales roles at Amdocs. And before that, he was at T-Mobile US where he led business development and partner management functions for on-portal value-added services. He’s also worked in various senior sales and business development roles at Loudeye, a digital media software firm acquired by Nokia.

Ethan holds a BA in Political Science from the University of Washington.

Michael King 

VP, Engineering

Mike is responsible for leading OpenMarket’s engineering organization, driving the technical vision and delivering OpenMarket’s ambitious product strategy.  Prior to joining OpenMarket he worked in both the start-up and enterprise space on cloud platforms and enterprise software applications for more than two decades.  Mike started his career as a developer, before moving on to senior engineering leadership roles at companies such as IGT, LANDESK and Ivanti – working in both the US and UK.

Mike holds a BA (Hons) in Industrial Design and Technology from Loughborough University and is passionate about an Agile mindset, Cloud, AI and Machine Learning.

Ronit Peled

Head of People

Ronit leads the charge in recruiting, training and retaining our high performing and motivated team.

Before joining us, she supported business accounts globally for Amdocs in Israel. She then moved to the US to work on outsourcing arrangements and M&A. In her time before Amdocs she worked as an HR Manager for a wide range of clients in marketing, selling, and advertising, providing strategic guidance within HR and managing employee relations.

Ronit has more than 20 years’ experience developing talent and improving productivity in quick-growing organizations. She holds a BA cum laude in Social Work from Jerusalem University.
