WIND Mobile Corp. announced the closing of a new senior secured debt facility that allows up to CND$425 million of total financing to support its plans for network enhancement and the deployment of LTE using equipment and services supplied by Nokia Corporation.
The facility enabled the re-financing of existing debt facilities and consists of multiple delayed-draw tranches to fund both operational growth and network expansion. The move comes thanks to the backing of a syndicate of major Canadian banks and additional support from the export credit agency of Finland to support network purchases.

Sprint announced the appointment of several new region leaders Thursday, including Tim Donahue as president of the Kansas and Missouri Region, Michael Meiss as president of the North Carolina and South Carolina Region and John Stevens as the president of the Central Texas Region.
All three will be responsible for their region’s sales strategy, network oversight, customer service, marketing communications and general operations supporting the full portfolio of Sprint products and services from enterprise to consumer. Miess and Stevens will report to Jaime Jones, area president of the South.
Donahue, who is currently Sprint’s vice president of consumer and general business for Web, telesales and field marketing, and Stevens, who is currently Sprint’s vice president for the Central Region, will remain in their positions until Sprint’s new regional structure is completely rolled out next year.
