OpenMarket appoints CX expert as Australian Market Lead

SYDNEY, Australia – OpenMarket, a global leader in mobile messaging and customer experience, has appointed Jonathan Ryan as Country Manager and Commercial Director of Australia. Ryan’s appointment comes as OpenMarket, an Amdocs company, expands into the Australian market to help brands use smart, mobile-first strategies to better connect with their customers, both in Australia and abroad.

Ryan joins the company from Payreq where he successfully launched the company’s suite of financial products and services to the Australian market. In his new role, Ryan will focus on transforming the customer experience offer of some of the world’s best-known brands, bringing OpenMarket’s approach to building loyalty through empathy to the fore.

Ryan’s extensive experience in the Financial Services, Government and Education sectors, has given him a breadth of insight across institutions and enterprises that brings significant value to OpenMarket. As a product manager and certified project manager, he understands the needs of end-users and how to create experiences that generate the best results for both customers and the brands trying to reach them.

Prior to joining OpenMarket, Ryan was Advisor and General Manager of Customer Solutions, Products and Markets at Payreq, and Banking, Payments and Digital Transformation Expert at Gerson Lehrman Group, BPAY and HSBC. He also worked in Europe for Danske Bank and ING.
