ITV’s multi-award winning and flagship daytime show This Morning is joining forces with leading wish-granting charity Make-A-Wish® UK for a special ‘Week of Wishes’ appeal from Monday 12 December. The appeal is using OpenMarket’s global messaging platform to support its text donations.
Viewers, and other supporters, will be able to donate via SMS and online to the appeal which is set to raise money in the six figures.
Donations will help hundreds of seriously ill children and their families who turn to Make-A-Wish UK to have their one true wish granted during uncertain times in their lives. By delving into their imaginations, This Morning together with Make-A Wish UK, will discover and help grant wishes to enrich the lives of those fighting life-threatening conditions.
Text / SMS Message – Viewers can donate £5 by texting the word WISH5 to 70750 or donate £10 by texting WISH10 to 70750. Texts cost £5 or £10. 100% of your donation will go to Make-A-Wish® UK. You must be 16+. Please note text donors can only donate a maximum of £30 per day. Text bounce-back messages will notify them of this limit when it is reached.
Online – Viewers can also donate via itv.com/thismorning that will provide a link to the BT MyDonate site. This will be branded to look like the appeal. STV will also have a link on their websites to the online donation route, and viewers can go to the Make-A-Wish® UK website where they will be redirected to BT MyDonate. All donation routes will remain open until 5pm on Tuesday 3rd January 2017.
