* Notes

For 1-way messaging, all Originators will be replaced by long code/number. Alternatively, you must use a 2-way provisioned number (OpenMarket can provide one, they are short codes, but longer than you would expect, looking more like long codes would in other countries). For multipart messaging, the number of characters is reduced to 62 for each message part if using UCS-2.

Guidance / Restrictions

Transactional OpenMarket can provide connections where no client registration is required though messages will be modified with a default signature if not set by the customer. For high quality connections, Customers must provide a service description and content templates to register and whitelist their use case and, when sending messages, append a Customer signature to each message. Promotional OpenMarket can provide connections where no client registration is required though messages will be modified with a default signature. For high quality connections, Customers must provide a service description and content templates to register and whitelist their use case and, when sending messages, append a Customer signature to each message. Opt-in is required for promotional and marketing messages. Typical opt-out is at the end of message add “回复TD/T退订“、”回复N退订“, translated in English “reply TD (or T) to unsubscribe”, “reply N to unsubscribe”. End users will send a MO message “TD”, “T” or “N” to opt out. OpenMarket can supply a 2-way solution to handle MO messages. China has extensive and nuanced regulations for messaging programs and campaigns. Please contact us for further information.
