* Notes | You can begin messaging using alphanumeric originators immediately (you do not need to pre-register the originator). If using long codes for 2-way, there may be daily volume limits. Advisable to use a short code for high volume campaigns. UK VMN Sender ID will not be sent via direct A2P routes. Bouygues does not support Unicode (therefore Emojis can not be sent). |
Guidance / Restrictions | Regulations France has 2 shortcode ranges: 36xxx -> only for marketing messages 38xxx -> only for otp (one time password), alerting and notifications messages (no marketing). Undeclared traffic will be treated as marketing messages. Traffic through 36xxx is not allowed between 20:30 and 08:00 GMT+1, on Sundays and French public holidays. Content Restrictions There are no restrictions other than those mentioned above and those that prevent abuse (spam, phishing, etc). Opt in required for marketing messages. Sender Restrictions When sending marketing messages with an alphanumeric Originator, the message content must contain instructions for the recipient to unsubscribe. When using the 36xxx shortcode and a recipient replies with STOP (or equivalent), you are obligated to remove that number from your database. All messages must be sent in French. |
