* Notes

Long Codes are not allowed either for 1-way Mobile Terminated (MT) messaging or to collect Mobile Originated (MO) messages for 2-way solutions. These solutions are considered Peer-to-Peer (P2P) messaing and high penalties will apply. Short Codes (Dedicated or Shared) are the approved/allowed 2-way solution. Shared Short Codes with OPT OUT/IN requests are allowed. It is possible for two customers to use the same Shared SC: OPT OUT is performed by using an extra keyword (eg: OPT OUT <extra keyword to identify the customer>)

Guidance / Restrictions

Opt-in is required for messaging programs, through an MO message, a webpage (that includes terms of service when they signed up), or a signed, offline document. You must have a local phone number that end users can call with any questions.
