The Global SMS API offers several exciting features and benefits, such as higher messaging capacity, more demanding SLA, and support for RESTful operations using either JSON or XML. When considering whether and when to move to the Global SMS API, keep in mind that it does not support the following capabilities:

• Premium billing

  If your messaging program requires billing for UK and/or Australia, you need to continue using the UK SMS API.

• Broadcast messaging

  If you need the ability to send the same message to multiple end users with a single request, you need to continue using the UK SMS API.

• Buffered delivery receipts

  If you need to receive BUFFERED (intermediate) delivery reports for the same message, you need to continue using the UK SMS API.

  Note that each message part of a multipart message will receive a final delivery report.
