OpenMarket – April 3, 2020

In this second instalment we hear from our Technical Support Engineer, Ly Hoang from our Sydney, Australia office on what her typical day looks like.

What does a typical day look like for you?
I assist our customers on a daily basis via phone calls, emails.
As I am a senior member in OM, I need to help other members to troubleshoot complex cases. Train new Omies, write internal documents and also work on some internal projects to improve our system.

What is your definition of diversity? Or What does diversity mean to you?
For me, it’s all about respecting and understanding people from different backgrounds, cultures.

Do you have a life motto? If so, what is it?
I like this quote which I have followed. “Be kind, work hard and stay humble”

What do you think is the biggest game-changer in mobile technology at the moment?
I believe that this is RCS messages. It’s a new messaging protocol available in Android devices. It is designed to replace SMS & MMS in the future.

Are there any new skills you want to master or learn?
I want to focus on Data Analysis skills in which I graduated from my university. In addition, I would like to learn more about communication skills which are definitely crucial for my job and career.
