You want engagement with millennials? Then you need mobile messaging.

Unsure whether millennials want texts from you? Don’t worry, we ran a study on that, and with a decent sample size — 500 people aged between 18 to 34. We found that:

  • 83% of millennials would rather text message your business than call a customer service helpline.
  • They don’t want you to contact them via social media channels like Twitter or Facebook, currently.
  • Texting is the number 1 preferred channel for notifications, beating both email and voice.
  • Yet a fifth of respondents had never received a text from a business.

So as the infographic shows, millennials are way more keen to get a text from you than you might already think.
